Steve went to UCLA. He started his first business in college. He was an unpublished writer so he went to law school. Then he found his niche that launched his idea Ask A Lawyer legal guides. Peter Clevenger…slush pile. Four-book deal.

Practicing law was…wanted to open a second firm in San Francisco. The risks you take have to be smart and prudent not wild and crazy risks.

  1. Multiple profit centers: you need multiple ways to make money…at least three streams.
  2. Have an X Factor: what makes you uniquely different. Why and how does it make your customers’ lives better.
  3. Marketing…marketing…marketing…and more marketing.
