Top Tips Owning Your Online Reputation

  1. Your online reputation matters.
  2. Anyone can say anything online, anonymously.
  3. Everything we do online: what we post, email (even privately) or even if you’re tagged in a post.
  4. Have good stuff that reinforces your online reputation.
  5. Employees’ reputation
  6. Awareness. Do an audit of your communications. Check your social media content for things that are inappropriate. Make sure you look good now.
  7. Do a few things to make sure you have positive things out there. Have a domain name and personal website. Be on a few high-quality social media platforms.
  8. Try to de-index something that’s on the web or, at least, bury it by releasing positive content.
