Top Tips  How To Do Proper Media Outreach The RIGHT Way

  1. Identify the write journalists to target:  Don’t send an email to a writer who isn’t in the right niche for the story.
  2. Do your research: follow the journalist on social media platforms. Don’t send canned emails. Get to know the journalist and test what works with them.
  3. For millennial targets: it’s okay to be more real and fun. [16:28]…I hope you enjoy this gif…add a playful pic. Don’t be stiff. Be friendly.
  4. Remember you’re doing the asking: make your copy worthwhile. Not too long or too short. Not one sentence and not 5 paragraphs. Make your value proposition clear.
  5. Share your already prepared work: if you have an article written share it with them.
