Samantha Allen lives and breathes social media. She is currently the Interactive Marketing Associate for GoTriangle, a transportation organization in the Triangle region of North Carolina, a role which requires running 12+ social media accounts, blogging, graphic design, video editing, and collaborating on dynamic marketing campaigns. In her free time she writes a daily pop culture newsletter, Sam In The AM. She regularly blogs and vlogs about social media marketing, the latest media news, and her love-hate relationship with fast food. She graduated from Elon University with a BA in Strategic Communications.

  3. Don’t be on every platform, just what you have time, resources, knowledge, and audience for
  4. Stay Informed (email newsletters are very popular)

  6. Subscribe to newsletters.
  7. Create Google alert.
  8. Turn on post notifications on Twitter for industry influencers.
  9. Before you start any new social media app, research the new platform. Understand it and then start.
